2020, sunk the Russian Space Station

MOSCOW - Russia plans to sink the International Space Station (ISS) to the seabed after his 'lifetime' runs out in 2020.

This should be done so that the ISS does not become space junk. Roskosmos agency said in a statement as quoted by the Straits Times, Thursday (28/07/2011).

"After completing the task, we must sink the ISS. ISS can not be abandoned in orbit because it could leave a lot of junk," said Deputy Head of Roskosmos Vitaly Daydov.

"We have reached an agreement with all our partners that the station will be used until 2020," added Daydov.

ISS Daydov obviously do not want to waste that could endanger astronauts in the future. Last June, an unidentified object crashing into the ISS and forcing nearly six crew station escape.

Own ISS orbiting 350 kilometers above the Earth's surface. This station is an amazing form of a scientific experiment that brings together agencies from Russia, the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada.
