China warns U.S.

Coals in the South China Sea is likely to heat up because China and the U.S. choose face to face. At the ASEAN Regional Forum in Bali, for example, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi told directly to the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for Uncle Sam to respect the territory of China. "The Chinese government expressed its concern and requested that China's sovereignty and territorial integrity be respected," said a spokesman for the Chinese delegation, Liu Wieming.

In addition, continued Wieming, the Chinese government has asked the U.S. to respect a number of other sensitive issues, such as the issue of Tibet. "The U.S. government seems to understand the sensitivity of the issues and agreed to promote dialogue and mutual understanding," added Wieming as AP and AFP on Friday (07/22/2011).

Wieming continue the bilateral meeting the two ministers did discuss the specifics of disputes in the South China Sea.

In recent months, tensions annexation, which has lasted more than a decade it increased. Philippines and Vietnam accused China too aggressive in its efforts to claim some areas in the South China Sea.

So, China and 10 ASEAN member countries planned to hold talks in Bali to find a middle way this dispute and devise solutions to reduce tension.

Prior to holding bilateral meetings with China, Clinton had praised the steps of China and ASEAN are working to cool the situation. However, in a maneuver is presumably done to annoy China, Clinton planned a speech on Saturday (23/07/2011).

In a speech to Asia's foreign ministers, Clinton will insist that the U.S. has a strategic stake in the South China Sea.

A member of the U.S. delegation said, Clinton will detail his remarks in the forum about the importance of the South China Sea to U.S. and global trade.

The Chinese government has long urged the U.S. not to engage in mediation in the South China Sea between China and its neighbors.

China at that time claimed the territory in the South China Sea dispute with the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, and Taiwan. This area is believed to be rich in oil and gas as well as very strategic because it becomes a major traffic world trade.
