Insect metamorphosis

Metamorphosis usually occurs in different phases, starting from the larvae or nymphs, sometimes past the pupa phase, and ended up as an adult imago. There are two main kinds of metamorphosis in insects, and holometabola hemimetabola.

Phase of the immature species at metamorphosis is usually called larvae / nymphs. But the complex metamorphosis of most insect species, only the first phase, called larvae / nymphs. In hemimetabolisme, nymph development takes place on the growth phase and ekdisis recurrent (skin changes), this phase are called instars. Hemimetabola also known as incomplete metamorphosis.

In holometabola, the larvae are very different from the adult. Insects that do holometabola through larval phase, then enters a phase of inactivity called the pupa, or chrysalis, and finally became an adult (imago). Holometabola also known as metamorphosis. While in the pupa, the insect will release digestive juices, to destroy the larva's body, leaving some cells alone. Some cells will then grow into adults use the nutrients from the broken body of the larvae. The process of cell death called histolisis, and the growth of another cell called the histogenesis.

Old insect spends more time in its adult stage or in the adolescent phase depending on the species of insect. For example mayfly that lives only in the adult stage only one day, and the cicada, the phase of youth living underground for 13 to 17 years. Both of these species do not complete metamorphosis.
[Edit] The metamorphosis of amphibians

at first, an adult female frog will lay eggs, then eggs will hatch after 10 days. After hatching, the eggs hatch into Berudu.berudu frogs live in water after 2 days old, tadpoles have external feathery gills for breathing. After 3 weeks of age the gills of tadpoles will be covered by skin. Towards the age of 8 weeks, tadpoles back legs will be formed later enlarged when the front legs began to emerge. Age 12 weeks, the front legs began to take form, not function anymore ingsang be a short tail and breathe with lungs paru.maka shape of the face will be clearer after the growth of perfect limbs, the frog will turn into adult frogs and kmbali breed.

There are several different things from the cycle of amphibians in general. Some species of salamanders do not need to be morphed to become fully sexually mature, and will only metamorphose under certain environmental conditions in the pressure. Many species of tropical frogs lay their eggs on land, where the tadpoles metamorphose within the egg. When they hatch, they become adults who are not really mature, sometimes still has a tail that within a few days later reabsorbed.
